Saratoga Springs, NY - Natalie M. Lasky, a former resident of Ingersoll Avenue in the Stockade section of Schenectady, died Wednesday (Jan. 26, 2011) at Saratoga Hospital Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She was 94. Born on June 28, 1916 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Katherine Dobies. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, she married Charles W. Lasky, Sr., on Sept. 25, 1936. Along with her husband, they founded Lasky's Marina on the Great Sacandaga Lake in 1939, where they enjoyed many summers with their family and friends. Natalie was dedicated to her family and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Schenectady. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Lasky, Sr., who died April 15, 1998; one brother, William Dobies and two sisters, Wanda Relyea and Jeanette Zeglen. Survivors include her children, Barbara Jordan of Slingerlands and Dr. Charles Lasky (Dale Walton) of Saratoga Springs; her grandchildren, Kim Rodriguez (Mike Whitacre) of Clifton Park, Lisa Buffaline (Rick) of Watervliet, Jeff Jordan (Jennifer) of Rensselaer, Jody Lasky of Portland, Oregon, Andrew Lasky of Saratoga Springs, Ashley Gaul (Joshua) of Wilton and Chelsea Cangeleri (Ben) of Malta and her great-grandchildren, Katie, Ryan, Natalie, Colin and Riley. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10:30am Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Our Lady's Chapel in the parish center of St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday in St. Clement's Church, by the Rev. Francis E. Sullivan, C.Ss.R. Private interment will be at the family plot in St. Mary's Cemetery, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Saratoga Hospital Foundation (dedicated to the Saratoga Hospital Nursing Home), 211 Church St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
