IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Neil J.
Emanatian
August 22, 1977 – August 20, 2024
Neil J. Emanatian, 46, of Saratoga Springs NY passed away on August 20, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Neil spent his entire adult life in service to others. In 1995 Neil began his service as a United States Marine, he went on to serve as a career firefighter in many different capacities, ultimately retiring from the Saratoga Springs Fire Department, upon retirement he followed his passion for serving and caring for people and continued his service to others as a nurse at the Albany VA.
As proud as Neil was of his service to his country and community it was his family that gave him his greatest source of pride and joy. His wife Laura, daughter Laine and son Nolan. Neil was never happier than he was when he was cheering his children on at all of their sporting events or while teaching them the many life skills that will stay with them forever. He loved sitting at their family camp relaxing with Laura watching his family and friends bounce around the lake (usually in terror as he was whipping them around on a raft behind the boat). To his friends and extended family Neil was always just a phone call away if you needed something fixed or moved, or you needed a ride or shoulder, if you needed anything.
Neil's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. His kind heart, gentle soul and generous spirit will live on in the recipients who now have hope for a second chance at life.
Neil is survived by his loving wife, of twenty years, Laura (Ennis); daughter, Laine and son, Nolan. His brother, Reid (Chelsea); his mother, Janice Morse-Ford; his sisters and brother, Beth, Diana and Jesse. His in-laws, (now accepting applications for a handyman) Bill and Kit Ennis, and his "other" sisters, Erin, Kate (Raph), Meghan (Dan), and Clare. Many, many nieces and nephews which he adored and imparted his love of everything outdoors on through wonderful experiences boating, fishing, and hunting and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a burial with military honors at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
