Saratoga Springs, NY - Olwen Thomas of Walter Drive, passed away Monday (July 12, 2010) at the Wesley Health Care Center, Lawrence St. She was 92. Born on May 3, 1918 in Wales, Great Britain, she was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Formerly of Albany, she was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and devoted service with, along with her late husband, in the Troy Masonic lodge. She had also worked in sales as a buyer for the J.C. Penny Company in Albany for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Thomas, who died Oct. 18, 2005. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Philip Klein; two grandsons, Philip T. and Cliff (Erin) Klein and one great-grandson, Carter John Klein, all of Saratoga Springs. Relatives and friends may call 5 to 8pm Thursday (July 15, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 9am Friday at the Burke Funeral Home by the Rev'd. Canon Thomas T. Parke, rector of Bethesda Episcopal Church.
