Clifton Park, NY –Patricia M. Hewitt passed away on August 15, 2021. She was born one of nine to the late George and Julia Hewitt on May 17, 1931 in Schuylerville NY.

She graduated from Schuylerville Central School as valedictorian in 1949.  She attended SUNY Potsdam and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  Later she attended the University of Colorado in Boulder for summer school.  After graduation, she taught first grade at Maywood in the South Colonie School District.  In 1960-61 Patricia taught at the US Army Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany.  While there, she traveled through Europe, the British Isles and Northern Africa.  After returning to the US, she taught at Glencliff Elementary School in the Niskayuna Central School District for 25 years, retiring in 1986.

Patricia is survived by her sisters Julia Hewitt, Eileen Spelman (Dick), and brother George Hewitt (Becky) along with many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Mary's Church, 167 Milton Ave., Ballston Spa, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 115 Cemetery Rd, Schuylerville, NY.
