Patricia Morey Killeen joined her GOD On the Wings of an Angel at 3 PM on January 18, 2012. On passing, Pat was at peace in her home with her husband and three children at her side. Patricia was the loyal and dedicated wife of Richard James Killeen of Saratoga Springs, NY, for 60 years. Pat was the exceptional mother of Jeffrey M. Killeen (wife Judith) of Diamond Point, NY and Westport, CT; Richard S. Killeen of Guilford, CT; Susan Patricia Killeen Ramsay (husband Scot) of Ottawa, Canada. She was the beloved grandmother of Peter M. Killeen and Sarah Patricia Ramsay. Her sister is Marilyn Grivjack of Miami, Florida. Patricia was born on March 3, 1930 in Schenectady, NY. She was an honor graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Patricia graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with honors and was awarded a New York State permanent teaching certification. She taught for a number of years in the school systems of Schenectady, North Colonie, West Islip and Bay Shore, NY. Pat always made sure that her work schedule accommodated her most important role of mother, making sure that she saw her children off for school and being home for them when they returned. As a wife and mother, she was always involved with civic, education, and health responsibilities in her Community. It is believed that she attended more than 3,000 school, academic and athletic events, with and for her three children. She enjoyed her volunteer work at Good Samaritan, South Side, and Saratoga Hospitals. In Saratoga Springs, Pat was a member of the Saratoga Golf & Polo Clubs womens golf league, the Orenda Ladies Garden Club, and the Hospital Guild. Patricia Killeen was a lady of all seasons. She knew the frugal times, often designing and creating her own clothes and those of her children. In more abundant times, she did more volunteer work. In all times, she stayed true to the preppy look. A Catholic Mass Memorial Service will be held in Pats honor on Monday, January 23rd, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, by the Rev. Timothy F. Keating C.Ss.R. For those attending the church services, A GODs speed on the Wings of an Angel Luncheon will be held at 11:30 A.M. at Longfellows Inn & Restaurant, 500 Union Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
