Saratoga Springs, NY - Patricia Burns Muzikar, went to be with God on Tuesday (Feb. 23, 2010) at her son's home in Long Island, following a long bout with cancer. She is 69. Born on Aug. 29, 1940 in Downey, CA, she was the daughter of the late Reginald Albert and Delia (Hanley) Burns, moved to the Saratoga Springs area in 1948 and was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School in 1959. Patty was an avid sports fan and bowled and played in women's softball, and coached Miss Softball America. She was a member of various Saratoga bowling leagues for many years and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and adored her family. Survivors include her children, Jackie (husband, Stephen) Graham, Matt (wife, Rachael) Muzikar and Frank "Bubby" Muzikar; one sister, Mary Tallman of Saratoga Springs; one brother, Richard A. (wife, Wynette) Burns of TX; five grandchildren, Jordan, Stephen, Jacob and Peyton Graham of Saratoga Springs and Tyler Muzikar of Long Island; 6 nephews and 1 niece; several grand nephews and one grand niece. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Monday (Mar. 1, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 12noon Tuesday at the Burke/Bussing Funeral Homes.
