Obituary

Saratoga Springs - Patricia A. Voigt, of McGregor Villas, passed away Monday (June 15, 2009) at Mary's Haven. She was 65. Born on Oct. 19, 1943 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Helen Czech and the late James Tesiero, and the adopted daughter of the late Louis Czech. A graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Sr. High School and Albany Business College, she was an executive assistant at Catholic Charities in Saratoga Springs for 32 years. An avid gardener and photographer, she enjoyed the August season at Saratoga Race Course and as a great animal lover, she was a faithful and devoted pet-sitter for many years. Fiercely loyal to her family and her many friends, she was a devoted staff member of the Catholic Charities family. In addition to her mother, she is survived by six children, Kevin (Joretta Scott) Voigt of North Hollywood, CA, Kimberly Voigt of Saratoga Springs, Kristen (Anthony) DeFelice of Rensselaer, Katherine Yellen of Albany, and Elizabeth and Kenneth Yellen, both of Saratoga Springs; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Michael, Sara, Ashley, Brandon and Alyssa; one brother, Richard Czech of Amsterdam; several nieces, one nephew and many close friends. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8pm Friday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Saturday in the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009 at 10am. Memorials may be made in her name to Mary's Haven of Catholic Charities, 142 Regent St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or your local animal shelter.
