IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia A.
Willson
March 2, 1942 – January 11, 2026
Ballston Spa, NY - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Patricia A. Willson. Surrounded by her four boys, she peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
Born on March 2, 1942 in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Henry Sr. and Rose (Gemmitti ) Pennell.
Patricia graduated from St. Peter's Academy in 1959 and later married her husband Ronald P. Willson on March 20, 1966. Together they built their "Homestead" where they resided until his death in 1998.
Raising four energetic boys was far from an easy task, yet escaping into a good book or a swift kick of a clog made everything ok. Regardless of our antics, mom was always our greatest supporter during athletic competitions and held her ground when it came to her children. Once asked what was her greatest accomplishment, she proudly responded "her family".
Patricia dedicated her career to nursing, serving in the Air Force as a flight nurse with the 109th Stratton International Guard. Additionally, she worked at Samaritan Hospital in Troy before serving over two decades at Saratoga Hospital. Prior to her retirement, she was affectionately known as "The Bug Lady" during her 17+ years of service to Saratoga County's Public Health Department. Regardless of the position, Pat was known for her intelligence, persistence and true passion for helping others.
Beyond her numerous professional accomplishments and accolades, Patricia was deeply committed to her community. She generously volunteered her time with the HIV/AIDS Coalition, the Home Made Theater in Saratoga Springs, and the Catholic Charities Hospice House.
Along with her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her husband Ron Willson and her son Ronnie Willson. She leaves behind her partner of over 20 years, Dennis Krosky: four sons, Paul (Andrea), Todd (Katie), Matthew (Diane), and Scott (Danielle) Willson; seven grandchildren, Kara, Krista, Derek, Chloe, Zack, Olivia and Victoria; two sisters Carol Angelo (d.Vincent Jr.) and Donna McDonald (d. Ed); two brothers Paul (Patti) and Henry (Sharon) Pennell; and several inlaws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Although our hearts are heavy, we find solace in knowing that she is pain free and reunited with many beloved family, friends and pets that she has been missing.
Patricia's family would like to give a special thank you to everyone at No Place Like Home -Care, the Saratoga Senior Center, Saratoga County Hospice and St. Peter's Hospice for their attentive care.
