Moreau, NY- Paul Wayne Henningson passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was 52.
Born May 12, 1966 in Saratoga Springs, the son of Peter W. and Janet E. Selby Henningson of Saratoga Springs. Paul graduated from Saratoga Springs School Systems in 1984. He went onto Hudson Valley Community College, graduating in 1986.
He continued his education at the Albany College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1990. Paul worked in many retail pharmacies in the Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls area, as well as Glens Falls Hospital. He began working for NYS corrections as a pharmacist at the Comstock Great Meadow Facility and most recently at the Marcy Correctional Facility where he was the Director of Pharmacy distribution.
Paul was an EMT for the Moreau Emergency Team, serving as an officer for 7 years from 1994 to 2001. He enjoyed camping, biking, fishing, target shooting, fund raising and taking long motorcycle rides. Among his many talents, he was an excellent sound man for the local band "Triple Threat". His love for music didn't stop there as he enjoyed playing guitar and loved to listen to a variety of music including such classics as "Peter, Paul & Mary" and the "Kingston Trio". Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Eagles Club and the Kayaderosseras Fish and Game Club, all in Saratoga Springs, and the Whitestown Vet Club and Motorcyclist of America.
In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by his two brothers, Randy L. Henningson (Patty) of Stewartsville, NJ and Mark A. Henningson of Queensbury; one sister, Linda Darrah (Jeff) of Gansevoort; three nieces, Bianca, Evelyn and Cassaundra; many aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved dog Chase.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Monday, July 9, 2018 at the William & Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373). A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm.
