QUEENSBURY, NY- Peggy Joan Paquette, 85, of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away on December 12, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Burlington, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice A. and Harold Russell. Peggy grew up in Milton, VT, and attended Milton High School, where she first discovered the creative spark that would shape her life.
Peggy was a devoted mother who cherished her five children. Her home was always filled with color, imagination, and the steady rhythm of handmade work. She found joy in arts and crafts of all kinds — sewing, painting, drawing, and ceramics were among her greatest passions. Every piece she created carried her warmth, patience, and unmistakable artistic touch.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leon Carl Paquette, whose memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Peggy is survived by her children: Julie Ann Paquette (Tom), Danny Allen Paquette (Robin), Kathy Ann Asheber (Adam), and Carl Allen Paquette, Carol Ann Ethier (Leo), as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and spirit forward.
Those who knew Peggy will remember her gentle nature, her creativity, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy lives on in the countless handmade treasures she leaves behind and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
