Chatham, NJ - Raymond Patrick McGuirk, 84, of Chatham peacefully passed away on July 18, 2018.

Ray was born in Kells, Co. Meath, Ireland, the youngest of ten children, and immigrated to America in 1959.  Ray was the original proprietor of Afton Contractors and took great pride in his face-to-face customer relations.  Ray was a member of the Knights of Columbus and usher at St. Patrick Church for over 25 year, as well as, an avid golfer.

Ray is survived by his children Elizabeth McGuirk (Brian O'Connell) and Michael McGuirk (Amanda Gabbard-McGuirk) and his beloved grandsons James and Thomas O'Connell.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean.

To all those that knew Ray or just made acquaintance, his quick wit, humor, and charm will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 85 Washington Ave., Chatham, NJ on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:15 AM.
