Saratoga Springs – Reveka Babayeva, 89, passed away the morning of March 22, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital.
Born on December 3, 1928 in Russia to the late Daniel Babayev and Maria Shubayeva, Reveka moved to the United States of America with her family in 1994. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years. Her love for medicine was transferred to her beloved grandchildren. By the age of 10 her grandchildren were impressing her with their medical knowledge and skills. Reveka loved to organize family birthday parties. She loved to cook and all of her dishes were very creative. Reveka also enjoyed spending time at the Saratoga Springs Public Library where she learned the English language.
Reveka is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Yakov Dadashev, her sister Svetlana Matayev, children; Raisa Alkhazova, Lidiya Sherbatov, and Galina Tsvaygenbaum, grandchildren; Yana Masandilova, Radmila Lyubarov, Boris Sherbatov, Polina Simanovich, Bella Graber, Yelena Tsvaygenbaum, Reveka Alkhazova, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services for Reveka will be at 1:30pm, Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373) officiated by Rabbi Linda Motzkin of Temple Sinai.
Burial will follow at Beth El Cemetery for Temple Sinai, Gansevoort Road in Moreau, NY.
There will be a shiva minyan at Temple Sinai at 5:30pm the same evening.
