Obituary

Greenfield Center, NY - Rex N. Miller of Annacrest Drive, died Friday (Apr. 17, 2009) at Saratoga Hospital. He was 75. Born on June 2, 1933 in Honesdale, PA, he was a son of the late Marshall and Stella (Boshinsky) Miller and was the husband of Ann (Caswell) Miller, whom he married on Mar. 22, 1975. A US Army veteran serving from 1953 to 1961, he and his wife resided in Watertown for several years. He was a foreman for Niagara Mohawk in Watertown and then moved to Saratoga County, accepting a promotion as a supervisor and retired in 1995. A commercial pilot, he and his wife operated Rex Miller's Flying Service at the Watertown International Airport for many years before moving to the Saratoga area. A fifty-plus year member of the Masonic Lodge, he was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife Ann, survivors include two daughters, Joann (Andrew) Wells of Ogdensburg and Julie (Dennis) Parker of Clayton; two brothers, Howard Miller and Charles Miller; three grandsons, Jason and John Jake Chiumento and Dennis J. Parker II as well as several very close nieces and nephews. Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 1:30pm Wednesday (Apr., 22, 2009) at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing &Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the American Lung Association, 155 Washington Ave., Suite 210, Albany, NY 12210.
