Rock City Falls, NY - Richard L. Allrich of Rock City Falls passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Saratoga Hospital. He was 74. Born on June 22, 1935 in Nassau, son of the late Lewis and Ruth (Woolbaugh) Allrich. He is the husband of Patricia (Kit) Allrich whom he married on April 12, 1958 at St. Joseph's Church in Greenfield Center. Mr. Allrich was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Korean War. He was employed by Kesselring Site in West Milton where he was a steam fitter and plumber. Dick liked everyone that he met. He was a sports enthusiast and loved watching hockey and football, especially his beloved New York Jets. In earlier years he liked going fishing and canoeing and he always enjoyed smoking his pipe. Relaxing at home with family was his favorite pastime in his later years. Survivors in addition to his wife Patricia include; two sons, Richard C. (Suzanne) Allrich of Charlton and Gregory S. (Karan) Allrich of Ballston Spa; one daughter; Karen J. (Douglas) Fay of Rock City Falls, four grandchildren; Natasha Fay, Katelyn Fay, Olivia Allrich and Avery Allrich, one sister; Gail M. (Manuel) Tobio of Nassau, a brother in law; Harry J. (Maxine) Kit of Sanford, Maine and several nieces and nephews. Dick is predeceased by a sister; Janet Prestipino and his half brother; Robert Bailey. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery with military honors. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (584-5373).
