Saratoga Springs, NY - Richard W Conrad, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Saratoga Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 62. Born on June 3, 1951 in Everett, MA, he is the son of the late Robert & Grace Conrad. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Susan Conrad of Saratoga Springs, NY; his daughter Candace and her husband, Arne Louison of Gansevoort, NY; his son Richard Conrad and his wife Christyn of Mililani, HI; his three grandchildren, Nicholas, Chloe & Jaxton Conrad; two brothers William (Lori) Conrad and James (Chin Cha) Conrad; two sisters, Kathleen (Robert) Matewsky and Deborah Conrad along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Thomas Conrad and a sister Ellen Norris. Rick enjoyed going the Saratoga Race Course in the summer, especially with his grandson. He also enjoyed the Boston Red Sox, antiquing with his wife and being surrounded by his family and good friends. A special thank-you to Dr. Edward Liebers and all doctors, nurses and hospital staff on 3rd Floor A-Patient Care unit of Saratoga Hospital, for their wonderful care and compassion towards Rick in the past couple of months.
