Richard Earle Mealy, 69, of Saratoga Springs, NY, died January 15, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital following a long illness.

Born August 2, 1951 and raised in Troy, NY, Rick graduated from Lansingburgh High School and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Oswego University.

He worked many jobs over his long career, most notably as a director of sales at Sprint for 16 years. Recently, he enjoyed retirement as a charcuterie chef at a local restaurant in Clifton, VA where he lived with his wife and children for 23 years. Previously they had lived in Phoenixville, PA for 13 years.

Rick was a loving man known for his outgoing personality and sense of humor. He was passionate about cooking and was always happiest in his kitchen cooking for his friends and family. He loved being outdoors and spent many summers on Lake George hiking Rogers Rock and laughing around a campfire. Above all, he loved spending quality time with those he loved.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Margaret L. Deakyne Mealy of Harvey Cedars, NJ; daughters, Erin G. Mealy Clark of Mililani, HI, Margaret Elizabeth Mealy of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Karen Mealy Landau-Gnatek of Saratoga Springs; granddaughter, Hunter Mae Clark; grandson, Landon James Clark; and ten loving nieces and nephews.

Richard was predeceased by his father, Arthur Clayton Mealy; mother, Hope Dormandy Mealy Knight; brothers, Kenneth Charles Mealy and David Arnold Mealy.

He was an incredible man, husband, father, uncle, brother, son, and friend to all. His family will be hosting a celebration of life at Lake George this summer to honor his memory. He will be greatly missed.
