Saratoga Springs, NY - Rita M. (Conway) Pitman passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 at Wesley Heath Care Center. She was 89. Born Feb. 15, 1920 in Saratoga Springs, NY she was the daughter of the late John J. and Josephine (McNamera) Conway. Rita lived all her life in Saratoga Springs, graduating from St. Peter's School. She worked from 1942 to 1957 for General Electric Co. in Schenectady and then went on to work for the Saratoga Springs Central School District in the cafeteria at the Middle School/High School, retiring in 1984.Rita loved to spend time walking around Saratoga Springs, cooking and knitting. In addition to her parents Rita is predeceased by her husband William E. Pitman and two brothers, James and John Conway. Survivors include two sons, Robert Pitman of Saratoga Springs and William Pitman of Rome, NY; a daughter, Leona Pitman of Ballston Spa and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45am Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 in the Chapel of the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am in the Church of St. Peter. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
