Saratoga Springs, NY - Robert E. Hart, Sr., 67, sadly passed on Tuesday April 30th, 2019 at St. Johns Hospital in Queens NY, after fighting for his life following an unfortunate stroke in November 2018.

Robert was born December 12th, 1951 to the late Martha L. Brewer and Melvin A. Hart Jr., the second oldest of 7 children. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Melvin A. Hart III, Martha E. Hart and Mary I. Hart, and his son Robert E. Hart, Jr. He now joins them all in watching over our family and friends. He will be remembered by siblings Michael (Karen) E. Hart, Barbara (Bradford) J. Vanburen, Joseph (Kathy) C. Hart; children Deanna C. Hart and Angela E. R. Hart along with his 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by his best friend Joshua (Loretta) Flewelling, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

During Robert's life he worked many jobs including at Rand Manufacturing, Howlers and being a taxi driver for many years. Robert loved sports, his favorite teams being the NY Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed being around family and friends as much as he could. Robert was often found playing some fun games on his phone with everyone who loved him. His passing doesn't mean he is gone, he's just watching over everyone from afar. Robert E. Hart will forever be in all of us here.

Relatives and friends may call from 11am to 12noon Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs 584-5373.  Funeral services will be at noon and burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
