Wilton, NY - Robert Porter, 75, passed away August 5, 2020 in Spring Hill, Florida. He was born June 29, 1945 in Queens, NY to the late Donald and Helen Kraebel Porter.

Bob was a retired teacher and businessman in the area.  He lived with his wife and children in Greenwich, NY for many years where he taught high school math.  He was also a member and past president of the Greenwich Lion's Club, a wrestling coach, an assistant Boy Scout leader, and served on the zoning board of appeals.

Bob and his wife loved to travel and were fortunate to have made many memorable trips with family and friends.  He was an amazing cook, skilled woodworker, avid photographer and birdwatcher, but his favorite activity was spending time with his grandchildren either baking cookies, creating projects in his workshop, or telling jokes.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his beloved son Bryan, his brother Ken Porter and his sister Ronnie and brother-in-law Robert Bach.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Janice Porter, his cherished daughter, Denise (Randy) Bardin and their children Maddie and Hunter Bardin of Lake George; brother Doug (Cindie) Porter; sister Terri (Mitch) Pittman; sister Mary (Keith) Colini; sister-in-law Marina Porter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 10:30am – 12 noon at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373).  Following required health protocols, proper social distancing must be maintained and masks or face coverings must be worn.
