Saratoga Springs –Robert Paul Rivers-Van Auken passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Saratoga Hospital.

Robert "Bobby" was born in Saratoga Springs on August 4, 1992. He was the son of Elizabeth Rivers and Barney Van Auken. He was also the grandson of the late Raymond Rivers.

Bobby was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. He worked at Mazzone Hospitality Catering since 2014 as a chef. He had a passion for cooking. He also enjoyed fishing, target shooting and making people laugh, especially when pretending to be Irish.

Bobby is survived by his beloved mother, Elizabeth (Terry White), his father, Barney, his beloved brother, Michael, his loving grandmother, Patricia, Uncle Danny (Janet), Uncle Randy (Maureen), Uncle Ray (Debbie), Uncle Jimmy (Laura), Aunt Kit, Uncle Bob (Sherry), Uncle Mike (Andrea), along with his Aunt Bernadette, Aunt Billie Jo, Uncle Charles (Nacole) and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 4-7pm at William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs by Reverend Edmund Faliskie, C.Ss.R. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
