Greenfield Center, NY – Robert Ramsey, Sr., 79, of Wing Rd., died Friday (Mar. 3, 2017) at his residence.

Born on June 13, 1937 in Saratoga Springs, he is a son of the late Francis and Mildred (Fitzgerald) Ramsey. He was employed by International Paper in Corinth, retiring in 1982 and his many interests included hunting, camping and fishing. A veteran of the US Army, Bob was a member of the Greenfield Fire Company for many years.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two siblings, Lester Ramsey and Norma Purvie.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Gloria (Mason) Ramsey; three sons, Robert Ramsey, Jr. of Wilton, William (Patti) Ramsey of Gansevoort and Walter (Linda) Ramsey of Porter Corners; two daughters, Wynita (Gordon) Rexford of Orange City, FL and Pam Ramsey-Priest (Brian) of Greenfield Center; seven grandchildren, Gordan Rexford, Rachael Izzo, Brittany Priest, Kassandra Flanagan, Maeghen Ramsey, Cody Ramsey and Myles Ramsey; four great-grandchildren, Kiley Rexford, Destiny Rexford, Payton Abbey and Tyler Izzo; two sisters, Viola Monroe of Granville, NY and Lillian Bills of Nelliston, NY; three brothers, Albert Ramsey of Queensbury, Joseph and Larry Ramsey, both of Corinth; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call from 11am to 1pm Monday at the Burke/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs 584-5373. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home.  Burial will be in No. Milton Cem.
