Clifton Park, NY - Robert F. Wincowski, of Hampsted Court, passed away Friday, (June 19, 2009) at Albany Memorial Hospital. He was 58. Born on October 14, 1950 in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of Robert L. and Letitia Carosella Wincowski, attended St. Clement's elementary school and was a 1968 graduate of St. Peter's High School in Saratoga Springs. He received his BA from SUNY Albany and his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He worked for many investment firms, including Merrill Lynch, First Albany Securities and Prudential Securities. He was a Senior Vice President of Janney Montgomery Scott Investment Firm of Albany at the time of his death. He was named as one of the top ten branch managers in the country in "On Wall Street" magazine in May 2008. Robert was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved traveling all over the world; his visits included trips to China, Africa and the Swiss Alps. Robert was a member of the Edison Club and a member of St. Clement's Church, where he had served as an altar boy in his youth. He was the owner of the Winner's Circle Farm where he trained several thoroughbred and standard bred race horses. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Elizabeth; one daughter, Caroline Wincowski of Clifton Park; two sons, Timothy Wincowski of Clifton Park and William Wincowski of Saratoga Springs; one brother, Joel Wincowski and his wife Carol of Granville; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Carolyn Enderlein of Chattanooga, TN; sixteen nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 3 to 6pm Sunday (June 21, 2009) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Monday in St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave. by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia.
