Saratoga Springs, NY- Roberta Joan Ruhle, (80) of Saratoga Springs, NY died on July 29, 2023 after a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Saratoga, Roberta graduated St. Peters high school and worked for many years at General Foods and then Price Chopper. Roberta was a great friend to all she met, and a loving mother and sister to her son and siblings.  Although always working full-time, sometimes at multiple jobs, Roberta was a constant champion of the underdog, never refusing to help anyone in need.  She made a difference in the lives of many through her never-ending kindness and generosity - even once risking her own life by running into a fatal house fire and extracting an elderly neighbor who surely would have perished in the fire.

Roberta is survived by her sister (Ann Marie, Saratoga Springs), son (Stephen, El Paso, TX), daughter-in-law (Maria, El Paso, TX) and granddaughters Selma and Stephanie (El Paso, TX).

She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Dorothy, and her brother Robert – all of Saratoga Springs.
