Ballston Lake, NY - Robertine Bobbie' E. Jones passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Saratoga Hospital. She was 85. Born November 19, 1927, to Anna Mae and Charles Lesson of Mechanicville N.Y., she was a long time resident of Mechanicville. She graduated from Mechanicville High School, married Ralph Babe' Jones also of Mechanicville and raised her family there. In more recent years she lived in the Malta and Ballston Lake areas. Bobbie worked in many positions during her life and retired as a bookkeeper from the Cluett Peabody Company of Troy, NY, in 1993. Bobbie's loves were her family, the NY Yankees, the NY Giants, her pets and quilting. She was an avid reader and a long time CBer, (Queenie). She was often found on a snowmobile in the winter or sitting by a campfire in the summer. She bowled for many years on leagues from Melrose to Saratoga and participated in several local tournaments. In addition to her parents, Bobbie was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ralph and her son Paul. She is survived by her children, David and his wife Wanda of Porter Corners, N.Y., Clark and his wife Marsha of Leesville, La., Sue Ann Klamp and her husband Walt of Galway, N.Y., Robert and his wife Pat of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Todd and his wife Ilene of Laurel, Md., daughter-in-law Terry Jones of Mechanicville, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces and a nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to join together for a memorial service at 11am Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Wilson Chapel, Skidmore College, North Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow at 1pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. The family wishes to thank the staff at Saratoga Hospital for the compassionate care given to Bobbie during her illness.
