Saratoga Springs, NY - Roland J. LaFarr, 81, died peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January, 31, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital.

Born on February 22, 1935 in Fort Edward, NY, he was the son of the late Roland LaFarr and Violet LaFarr.  He worked for Heavy Highway Construction Companies most of his life and then in his later years he was employed at Saratoga County Water Treatment Plant. Roland had a passion for the outdoors.  His favorite pastime included hunting, fishing, gardening, and golf, just to name a few.  His ultimate passion was his family.

Roland is survived by his beloved wife, Anita LaFarr, his daughters, Michelle (Bob Moreau), Rene' (Jim Loviza), and Paula (Jimmy Bolduc), his six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

There will be no public calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at the historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. Burial with military honors will follow at 12noon at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
