Ballston Lake, NY – Ronal P. Crowley, Sr., 77, formerly of Saratoga Springs, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Madeleine (Thomas) Lanoue Reiter and Peter Crowley of Troy. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Jesmain Crowley of Latham for 58 years. Ronal was educated in the Troy schools before joining the Navy at 17 years old. He faithfully served his country for 20 years and retired from the Navy as Chief Petty Officer. He was a Vietnam War veteran, a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, as well as the Gold Wreath Award for his outstanding performance as a Navy Recruiter. He then worked for 20 years as a foreman with Altec Specialty Steel.

Ronal was a dedicated family man who enjoyed sharing his love for the New York Yankees and Giants with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Besides his devoted wife, Ronal is survived by his son Ronal (Chrisanne) Crowley and daughters Cherie (Jack) Wrighter, Linda (Valerian) Boudreau, and Michelle (Samuel) Carpenter; his sister, Mary Jeanne (Robert) Honsinger; a niece and nephew; four step-brothers; his 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 11:30am to 12:30pm Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). A funeral home service will follow at 12:30pm and burial with military honors will be at 2:30pm at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

The family welcomes you to join them afterwards in a celebration of Ronal's life at the American Legion, 23 Pleasant St., Ballston Spa.
