Saratoga Springs, NY - Rosalie Jean (Mitchell) Burke passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side on Sat. Jan 16, 2016. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Rosalie was born on Oct. 23, 1940 to Paul and Philomena Mitchell in Ballston Spa NY. She graduated from Ballston Spa High, attended 2 yrs. of College and graduated from Hair Design Academy.

She married Robert E. Burke from Saratoga in 1959 and together raised three children and lived many years in Uncasville Conn and Ballston Spa NY.  They traveled throughout the United States and no matter where they lived Rosalie always involved herself with numerous community events, clubs and activates.  A selfless women, giving of her time and love to those she met.

Rosalie was a homemaker and owner of her own salon business and always found time for PTA, little league and supporting her children's activities.  She also worked at Burnes Security from where she retired.

Upon retirement, she and her husband moved back to Saratoga Springs, to be closer to family.  Here they enjoyed their time renewing old friendships and making new ones and spending time with family.

Rosalie was an active member of the ITAM  Women's Auxiliary and member of the Principessa Elena Society.  She attended St. Clements Church and also donated many hours to serving Veterans.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Paul and Philomena Mitchell and sister Paula Cope.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Burke of 56 years, sons Paul and Bobby Burke Saratoga Springs, daughter Brenda (Charlie) Antonino of Waterford Conn , grandchildren , Jillian, Charlie, Michael Antonino, and LeeAnn Burke,  also sisters; Donna Maynard, Darlene DeLancey, Gilda Gocal and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private calling hours for family will be held at 9am Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway.  Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. and burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.

A celebration of life reception will be held at ITAM, 247 Grand Ave., Saratoga Springs.
