Saratoga Springs, NY - Rosanne Shepherd O'Leary, 65, passed away recently after a long battle will illness. Born on January 3, 1947 at Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Vivian Parish and Donald Shepherd. She attended School #7 on York Ave. and graduated from Lake Ave. High School. She married Robert O'Leary and was a lifelong resident of Saratoga Springs. Rosanne attended Adirondack Community College where she earned a nursing degree. Enjoying more than a twenty year career as an RN at Saratoga Hospital, she worked in maternity helping to deliver and care for thousands of babies. After retiring from nursing she worked as a business manager and accountant for the Malta based firm of Anything Electric. She also loved her cats and dogs and worked with Moreau Animal Clinic, helping to save many injured and ill kittens and puppies. Rosanne was a member of Bethesda Episcopal Church in Saratoga Springs. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her step-father, Charles Parish; an uncle, John Corley; aunts, Mary Richmond, Esther Parish, Kaye Lovell and her cousins, Thomas and Philip Richmond. Survivors include her husband of nearly 50 years, Robert O'Leary; three sons, Chris, Patrick and Sean; her sister, Donlynn Graul; her brother, Charles Edward Parish; nieces, Leslie Ives and Debbie Graul; a nephew, Philip Parish; cousins Susan Parish, Charlie Parish, Leslie "Wit" Richmond and Sharon Jordan. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7pm Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). A Solemn Requiem Eucharist will be held at 11am Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Bethesda Episcopal Church, 41 Washington St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
