IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rose J.
Brennan
April 15, 1942 – January 16, 2023
Saratoga Springs, NY and Vero Beach, FL – Rose J. Brennan, age 80, lost her 3-year battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Monday, January 16, 2023. We are devastated, but relieved that she will no longer be in pain and suffering. She is now in heaven, watching over us.
Rose was born to H. Rita (Touchette) Johnson and Steven F. Johnson in Arlington, VT on April 15, 1942. Rose was kind, thoughtful and generous. She loved her family and friends, bright colors and the ocean. She embraced being part of an Irish family, and found comfort in her Catholic faith. She was patient and supportive, and always proud of her children. She was adaptable, occasionally very stubborn, and quietly bore chronic pain for years. As her health declined and she started to fade, she was tired of fighting for breath.
Rose leaves behind her husband of 56 years, John H. Brennan, her daughter Susan (Brennan) Winkle of Middle Grove NY, son John M. Brennan (Yvonne) of Saratoga Springs and daughter Ellen Brennan-Pierce (Jeff) of Fort Collins, CO. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Shane and Jared Winkle; Kiernan, Lauren, Fallyn, and Matthew Brennan; Maya Pierce; great grandchildren Christopher and Kevin Brennan; brother Christopher Johnson (Cherie), and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Saratoga Hospital for their kindness and support through this difficult time.
Visitation will be at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Friday, January 20, 2023. A mass of Christian burial will immediately follow. Interment will be private, and at the convenience of her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose's memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation , 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago IL 60611. More information is available at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org .
Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.
