Saratoga Springs, NY - Rose Cardillo Caputo passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011 at Wesley Health Care Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was 89. Born on June 30, 1922 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Rosa and Frank Cardillo. Rose was a lifelong resident and graduate of Saratoga Springs High School. In addition to her parents, Rose is predeceased by three sisters, Mary Arpey, Catherine Gratton, Josephine Coleman and one brother, Dominic Cardillo. Survivors include her husband James of Saratoga Springs; two daughters, Teresa Rockwell of Canandaigua, NY and Phyllis (Sam) Federico of New Windsor, NY; grandchildren, Christopher (Kara Smith) Rockwell, Kimberly (Jeremy) Brooks; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Reagan and Madeline Rose; sisters-in-law Mary Johns and Ursula Ruggiero as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30am Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at Our Lady's Chapel, St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake. Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:45am in the church by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia.
