Rose M. Roe entered into heaven to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, July 18, 2008. With her husband of 47 years, along with her children by her side, she moved on peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Rose was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who touched the hearts of everyone that knew her. While on Earth, she bestowed her love and wisdom on everyone. She faced lifes obstacles with dignity and strength, and was a true inspiration for all of us. Rose knew how much we all loved her and how much she will be missed. Born in Kingston, NY, Rose spent most of her life in East Greenbush, NY, where she was employed for many years by Brooks Pharmacy and CVS as a pharmacist assistant. In 1999 she and her husband retired and made Indialantic, Florida their residence. Rose is survived by her husband David of Indialantic, Fl, daughter Pamela M. ( Ernest ) Place of North Greenbush, NY, sons David J. Roe Jr. ( Ann ) of Clifton Park, NY and Michael T. Roe ( Laura ) of East Greenbush, NY, along with grandchildren Dustin Place, Nicholas Roe and Julia and Benjamin Roe. She is also survived by two brothers, William Hart and Carl Hart and two sisters, Marion Bunt and Patricia Godwin, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Hart and Francis Hart and three sisters, Ruth Bollin, Doris Blume and Carolyn Hogan. The Roe family would like to extend their appreciation to the many care givers, friends and neighbors who have supported Rose throughout her struggle with this devastating disease. We are so grateful for your thoughts and prayers. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service that will be held at Cornerstone Community Church at Malta Commons (100 Saratoga Blvd. Malta, NY 12020) on Saturday, July 26 at 1:00pm to be followed by a reception celebrating her wonderful life.
