ROSEMARY D'ANDREA CARR Saratoga Springs - Rosemary D'Andrea Carr, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly Thursday (Feb. 12, 2009) at her residence. She was 74. Born on Nov. 14, 1934 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Jean (Farone) DAndrea and was a lifelong resident. A graduate of St. Peter's Academy and Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA. She enjoyed walking, playing bridge and was an avid golfer, but her real joy in life was spending time with her five loving grandchildren. A faithful communicant of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, she served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by four siblings, Alfred, John, Frank and Angelina DAndrea. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, David R. Carr, Sr.; her daughter, Diane C. (husband Mike) Bird of Kennebunk, ME; one son, David R. (wife Donna) Carr, Jr., of Saratoga Springs; five grandchildren, Laura and David McCullough and Logan, Tyler and Madison Carr; a step-grandson, Liam Bird; three sisters, Louise Falkenbury, Elvira Stanley and Anita Piedmonte; five brothers, Louis, Domenic ("Red"), Robert, Faust and Joseph DAndrea; her sister-in-law, Marcia Carr of Saratoga Springs and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Monday (Feb. 16, 2009) at Our Lady's Chapel in the parish center of St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Tuesday in St. Clement's Church and burial will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville. Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211 or to the Saratoga Springs Lions Club Foundation, 25 Walton St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
