Saratoga Springs - Rosemary (Duval) Misurelli, formerly of Church Avenue, Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday (Nov. 2, 2008) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 79. Born on Oct. 7, 1929 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace (Dwyer) Davis and step-daughter of the late Joseph P. Duval. "Rosie" was president of Saratoga Springs High School class of 1947, a graduate of St. Lawrence University and also had attended Mildred Elley Business School in Albany. She had been employed for 25 years by the Corporation of Yaddo as secretary to the president, retiring in 1994. An avid bridge player, she was a member of several area bridge groups and had achieved a ranking as a junior master bridge player. In addition to her parents and step-father, she is also predeceased by her husband, Donald M. Misurelli, who died July 31, 1970; one sister, Grace Duval Noonan and three brothers-in-law, Robert E. Noonan, Joseph Griffith and Robert Kievit. Survivors include her children, Michael J. Misurelli of Paris, France, Donna Grace Misurelli of Charlottesville, VA, Maria Misurelli Tozzi of Ballston Spa and Mark Donald Misurelli of Saratoga Springs; two grandchildren, Teresa Lynn Tozzi and Joseph Anthony Tozzi, both of Ballston Spa; two sisters, Bertha Duval Kievit of Saratoga Springs and Jo Ann Keller and her husband, Donald M. Keller, both of Plymouth, MA; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vincent and Maria Misurelli of Saratoga Springs, Charles and Gloria Jarvis and Arlene Griffith, all of Queensbury and Ret. Col. Lawrence and Sandra Costanzo of Glendale, AZ; several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the entire staff of Saratoga Hospital for their professional care, kindness and concern to Rosemary during her illness. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Wednesday (Nov. 5, 2008) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Thursday in St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Avenue. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. Memorials may be made in her name to the Saratoga Care Foundation, 211 Church St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
