Saratoga Springs, NY – Roswell L. "Ross" Plue, of White Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at The Glens Falls Center, in Queensbury, NY, he was 72.
Born on April 15, 1951 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Harold E. Plue and Sally E. Plue. Ross worked for Price Chopper for almost 40 years on the night shift. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back to anyone. Ross was a sportsman with a love for fishing, hunting and camping.
Every year he and his father would go camping and fishing for a week during the summer. He rode his bike from one end of Saratoga County to the other to fish at the many lakes in the area. He was an avid ice fisherman and over the years had his picture taken many times out on the frozen Saratoga Lake.
Ross was a strong man who worked hard and loved his family with all his heart. He will be missed by many.
Survivors include his mother, Sally Plue; Kathy (Dwyer) Plue; daughters, Lisa (Plue) Davis, husband Greg and Patricia Plue, Jim; eight grandchildren, Luke, Ryan, Steven, Marleigh, Joseph, Jeffrey, Shanna and Skyler; sisters, Bonnie Brooks and Lori Garceau, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. There are no public calling hours.
