Ruth A. Pouliot, of Saratoga Springs, NY, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born December 30, 1943, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Genevieve (Kryst) Pouliot. She graduated from Loyola University in Chicago and earned a Master’s Degree in business from Columbia University. Her 35-year career as one of the first women Production Managers for Time Warner brought her first to New York City where she met her very dear friend, Paula Rooney. Then to Saratoga Springs where they worked together at the Time Inc. field office.

Ruth served on the Board of Directors of the Saratoga Chamber Players, Saratoga Children’s Theatre, was a lector at St. Clement's Church and a volunteer at the Wesley Community.

Ruth was the heart and soul of Saratoga Children’s Theatre and was lovingly known as the grandmother of the theatre. Her impact extended far beyond the work she did behind the scenes—she also delighted audiences by appearing in several productions. Her favorite role was Katy, the Irish cook, in Meet Me in St. Louis, which gave her the opportunity to proudly sport an Irish accent. She brought the same warmth, humor, and spirit to the stage that she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Ruth loved to travel with her mother and Leigh, who Ruth lovingly referred to as her granddaughter. They traveled to many places around the world. After retiring, she took up golf and bowling, two sports she truly loved.

Ruth is survived by her cousins Barbara Cragan, Theresa Fertig, Gloria Novotny, Linda McDonnell, Glenn Kryst, Elizabeth Severson and Jamie Donigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory can be made to Saratoga Children's Theatre, Saratoga Chamber Players or a charity of your choice.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place immediately after. Her final resting place will be next to her parents at St. Joseph's Cemetery, River Grove, Il.
