Wilton, NY- Ruth Sarah (Kaufinger) Seeber, of Clifton Park, NY, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024 at home in the company of her loving husband Earl.

Born March 5, 1937, to the late George Sr. and Ruth Kaufinger, Ruth was 87 at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, Earl Seeber, sisters-in-law Loretta Kaufinger (Lakeland, FL) and Laura Seeber Hart (Norwich, NY) and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth graduated from Guilford Central School in 1955 and was the Valedictorian of her class. During her early working days, she served as a bookkeeper at the National Bank and Trust Company of Norwich and subsequently worked in the airline industry for US Air as a secretary. In retirement, she was particularly happy working at the Saratoga Race track every summer where she greeted people with a smile and an enthusiasm that was contagious; everyone knew Ruth.

But her first love was her home. She also deeply valued her neighbors and community. Ruth loved to entertain and host parties at the holidays. She was an excellent cook and seamstress, making many of her own clothes. She was the driving force behind her neighborhood progressive dinner group that met for over 30 years.

Ruth especially loved the dogs in her and Earl's life: Sparkle, Twinkle, Sammie and Millie.

Married in September of 1959, Ruth and her husband Earl were constant companions and traveled extensively throughout the United States and abroad. Their love for each other was always evident. They were truly lifelong companions.

Services will be held on April 12, 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville, NY 12831.  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
