Saratoga Springs - Ruthie Mae Ballestero passed away suddenly on Monday September 21, 2009 at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa in the company of her beloved daughter Jamie. She was 80. Born on April 30, 1929 in Columbus, Georgia, Ruthie was daughter of the late J.W. and Jose Huguley. Ruth was a retired employee of both the Queensbury Hotel in Glens Falls and the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs. Ruthie is survived by her five children: Jamie (Timmy) Williams of Schuylerville, NY; Debbie (Keith) Brady of Port St. Lucie, FL; Jim Ballestero of Saratoga Springs; Michael (Linda) Ballestero of Saratoga Springs and Tony (Tammy) Ballestero of Ballston Spa. Ruth has seven grandchildren: Jesse & Jordan (Jamie), Jessica & Melissa (Debbie), Michelle & Katie (Jim), Victoria (Tony) and four great grandchildren: RJ, Zoey, Riley and Olivia. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Scarincio of Glens Falls and her brother, Albert Huguley of Hudson Falls. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery, West Avenue. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their kindness may make a contribution to Maplewood Manor, 149 Ballston Ave., Ballston Spa, NY.
