IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sabrina Leigh
Dahoda
September 10, 1987 – June 12, 2023
Saratoga Springs, NY- Sabrina Leigh Dahoda, aged 35, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Boston's Brigham and Women's hospital, the very hospital that granted her the gift of life with a heart transplant just five short years ago. Sabrina's heart donor, Jonathan Ersing, truly was the Robin to Sabrina's Batman, and now the dynamic duo are together again in heaven.
Sabrina was born on September 10, 1987, and grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY. Sabrina was a graduate of Saratoga High School's class of 2006, and rumor has it that she was often seen fighting crime in her bat mobile before returning to the bat cave off Beverly Street. Those that knew Sabrina knew that she was a true empath, sharing every joy and every heartbreak with those she loved most. She often stated that she wanted to live her life her way, never knowing if she had 10 years or 10 days, something she did with joy and vigor. Sabrina had a knack for dyeing her hair and her mother's shower curtain every color of the rainbow. She also had the uncanny ability to inject humor into any situation.
Sabrina is survived by her mother and best friend, Sandy Dahoda, and her father John Dahoda, whom she adored, both of Saratoga Springs; her brothers Michael (Cristal Redding) Dahoda of Saratoga Springs and Daniel (Jordan Beller) Dahoda of Schenectady, and sister-in-law Bethany Knorr of Glens Falls; her grandparents, John and Patricia Dahoda of Clifton Park; many aunts and uncles: Eileen Pettis (John), Nathan Dahoda (Sharon), Eugene Lambe (Vicky), John Lambe (Dawn), Ann Marie Kilmer (John), and Christopher Lambe (Krystin); her niece and nephews: Talia (Sabrina's mini-me), Eli, and Aiden; and a multitude of cousins, including Josh Eiffe (Alicia), and Ashley Cameron (Brian). Sabrina is predeceased by her grandparents, Peter and Dympna Lambe, and her uncles, Peter Lambe and Bobby Dahoda. Sabrina's four legged children, Raven, Pearl, Levi, and Kitty will no doubt also greet her at the pearly gates.
Think of Sabrina kindly, and often, especially when you hear a joke so bad it's good, every time you see a double rainbow, hear a P!NK song, watch a Marvel movie, and every time you see a funky unicorn.
The doctors, nurses, and staff cared for and treated Sabrina as a member of their family, help her memory continue to live on in the place that gave her a second breath.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be made to support the Advanced Heart Disease Fund at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Checks can be made payable to Brigham and Women's Hospital with "in memory of Sabrina Dahoda" in the memo line and sent to: Brigham & Women's Hospital Development Office, 263 Huntington Ave #318, Boston, MA 02115 or by visiting bwhgiving.org/memorial to make an online memorial gift.
Please also consider becoming an organ donor. Giving the gift of life when you depart this world will give another family more time with their loved one, the same gift that gave us all a cherished 5 years with our beautiful Sabrina. We love you always Chickie.
