Saratoga Springs, NY- Sally A. Evans, 79, of the Wesley Community, entered into eternal life December 8, 2020. Born on July 8, 1941 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late, Archibald M. and Mary Marjorie (McDonough) Baird. She married her husband William J. Evans, April 23, 1971 who preceded her in death in 2019.

Sally spent her life caring for others, beginning the age of 12 when her Mother died; raising her children, taking care of her sick relatives, returning to school at age 41 to become an L.P.N., and in her later years taking care of her Husband. Sally graduated from Becker Junior College and entered the medical field at the former Glenridge Hospital. After working as a medical transcriptionist, she entered geriatric nursing. Working at the former Saratoga County Nursing home and for many years at Wesley Health Care Center. It suited her servant heart.

Survivors, her sons; Mike Evans and wife, Laura, and Bob Evans; her nephew, George E. Simkins and son, Kurt Simkins, nephews, Scott and Blake; nieces, Mary and Melanie. In addition to her husband and parents she is predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Morehouse as well as her Yellow Lab, Maggie.

Family and friends are invited to join at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duel Rd, Schuylerville, NY.  Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
