Obituary

Gansevoort, NY - Our family is mourning the sudden loss of Scott Edward Duncan, of Gansevoort, NY. He was 35. Scott was born on Dec. 9, 1974 and raised in East Greenbush until the age of 10 in which he moved to Colonie, NY. Graduating from Colonie Central High School with high honors in 1993, he earned his pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy. Loving husband to Linda Marie (Reside) Duncan and dedicated father of Ian Scott (6) and Noel Lynn (1), he was the beloved son of Harry and Carol Duncan. Scott is also survived by his sisters, Heather (John) Seaton, Dawn (Michael) Churchill; one brother Timothy (Kathie) Duncan; his grandmother Pauline Wilkins and several nieces and nephews. Scott met the love of his life Linda during high school. Their love continued to grow for 17 years and produced two beautiful children. He enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling the world. Favorite past times were his frequent trips to NY Yankees games with his father Harry whom he also referred to as his best friend. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8pm Friday at the William J. Burke and Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Saturday at the Burke Funeral Home by the Rev. Matthew B. Wetsel, associate pastor of the Church of St. Peter. Burial will follow in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Rd., Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
