Obituary

Carthage, TN - Sharon Ann Stiles Nigro, formerly of Saratoga Springs, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 after a long battle with diabetes. She was 66. Born on Feb. 1, 1947 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy Stiles. Sharon was a bus driver for the Shenendehowa and Saratoga Springs School Districts for 15 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking and her large network of friends. In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her lifelong partner and first husband Howard "Shorty" Bemiss. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Nigro of Carthage, TN; three sons, James LaDue, John (Elisa) LaDue and Brian (Michele) Baker; one brother, Bruce (Lillian) Stiles and several cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8pm Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (518-584-5373). Funeral services will be at 10am Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at the funeral home. Sharon will be laid to rest with her late husband "Shorty" at 11am at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd, Schuylerville. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Suite 204, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205.
