Galway, NY – Dr. Stanley W. Docyk MD, 70,  passed away peacefully at his home on August 18, 2025.

Born on December 20, 1954 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late, William and Margaret (Mitskus) Docyk and a communicant of St. Clements Church in Saratoga Springs.

Stanley obtained his Bachelors of Science degree from Union College in 1976.  He then went on to obtain his Doctorate in Medicine from Albany Medical College in 1980.  Upon completion of his MD program, he served his internship and residency studying internal medicine at Albany Medical Center earning his Board Certification in Emergency and Internal Medicine.   Furthering his education, he also received an  Executive Masters of Business Administration  from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1998.  From 1997 to 2009, Stan served as the President of Northeast Emergency Medical Associates.  From 1983 to 2009 he was an attending physician at Ellis Hospital as well as the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2006.  He was the Medical Director for Sanctuary Spa in Saratoga Springs from 2006 to 2015  as well as part of the Attending Physician Support Team supporting Physicians from St. Peter's Hospital, Kingston Hospital, Columbia Memorial Hospital and Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital from 2008 to 2017.  From 2018 to the present, Stanley was an attending physician  with the Saratoga Hospital Emergency Department at the Wilton Medical Arts Urgent Care.  He was also a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

When Stanley was not working as a physician, his life was devoted to his family and grandchildren.  His homestead farm will be his forever home.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Debra Docyk, and their two children, Kevin Docyk and his wife, Kathryn, of Sunset, S.C.,  Nicholas Docyk and his wife, Fotini, of Galway, NY;  as well as his beloved grandchildren, Hunter, Piper, Theodoros, and Mathaios Docyk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave. Saratoga Springs NY, 12866.
