Wilton, NY - Stanley "Stan" E. Dworak 79, passed away Thursday (February 2, 2017) after a long illness.

He was born in Cohoes, NY, the son of the late Paul and Nellie Dworak. Following his service in the US Air Force, he graduated from Hudson Valley Community College and worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie. After meeting his wife, Judy, he returned to the capital district and worked for the GE Research & Development center for 33 years. Stan enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and especially woodworking, at which time he would build doll houses, toys for the grandchildren and furniture for his wife. Upon retiring, he and his wife traveled to Ireland, Hawaii and Alaska. When they weren't traveling, he loved being with his family.

Stan is predeceased by his parents and siblings; Helen, Frances, John and Barbara.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Dworak (Andrew Deutsch) and their sons, Benjamin and Jack of Hornell, NY; his son, Jeffrey (Katie) and their son Alexander, all of Latham; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Wesley Health Care Center, especially the girls on the 4th floor.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6 pm Monday (Feb. 6, 2017) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday (Feb. 7) in St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Interment with military honors will follow at 12noon at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
