Obituary

Mechanicville, NY - Stanley J. Kupecki, passed away Friday (June 19, 2009) at his residence. He was 89. Born on April 4, 1920 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Marion and Josephine Kupecki and was also predeceased by his brother, Leo Kupecki of Texas. He enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in 1941 and served with the 389th Bomb Group as an Engineer in the 564th squadron, serving 30 missions over Europe during World War Two, from Hethel, England. He was employed as a bricklayer with Local 30 in Long Island until his retirement. He was a loving husband and father, and he always loved life on Saratoga Lake, where he and his family enjoyed many happy memories. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia; three children, Jolie C. Ansari of Saratoga Springs, Stanley G. Kupecki of Mechanicville and John C. Kupecki of Saratoga Springs; four granddaughters, Aimee Strang of Troy, Jean Flanagan of Saratoga, Michelle Valenti and Royah Ansari of Troy; 6 great-grandchildren, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8pm Tuesday at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs ( 584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday in St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 231 Lake Ave. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.
