Saratoga Springs, NY - Steve Erickson, 80, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025 at The Pines in Glens Falls. Steve was born February 25, 1945 in Schenectady, NY. He is the son of the late Samuel and Alice Pauline Erickson.

Steve was a graduate of Scotia High School 1963, and Northeastern University in Boston class of 1968. Steve graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent his professional career working as an electrical engineer at Penril Electro Metrics in Amsterdam and Espey Manufacturing in Saratoga Springs.

Steve and Susan Elaine Brent met in Boston at Northeastern University. After graduating, they moved to Latham and then to Saratoga Springs, where they started a family. After retirement, Steve enjoyed playing golf with friends, hiking in the Adirondacks, boat riding on Lake George and Lake Champlain, and brewing beer. Steve and Sue also enjoyed traveling at home and abroad with family and friends. Steve was known by family and friends for his kind and gentle ways.

Along with his loving wife Sue, Steve is survived by his children Christopher (Amy), Michael (Jaime), and Lori (Kord Krause); nine grandchildren Ryan, Matthew, Sean, Alex, Kate, Madilyn, Colin, Charlotte, and Alice; his cousin Carl; two nieces Lyndsey (Dave) Lis, Noel (Dan) Powers; two grandnieces and two grandnephews; and his sister-in-law Leigh and brother-in-law Vincent Taylor. Steve was predeceased by his brother Robert "Bob" and sister-in-law Marilyn.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Pines for providing Steve with warm and loving care for the past three years.

A celebration of life will be held for Steve later this spring.
