Saratoga Springs - Steven Roy French a long time resident of Saratoga Springs passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2023.

Steven was born on January 22, 1968 in Mt. Kisco, NY.  He was the youngest son of S. Roy French Jr. and Eileen French.

His family moved to Saratoga Springs in 1980. After graduating from St. Peter's Catholic High School, Steven earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology from the College of Saint Joseph in Rutland, Vermont.

Steven explored a number of occupations he most recently enjoyed working with the kitchen and restaurant staff of the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club where he was well liked and respected by all of his co-workers.

Steven enjoyed playing tennis and pick-up basketball games at the Saratoga Rec Center.  He also liked listening to oldies, sixties and seventies music and enjoyed watching action movies.

Steven was quick to a very easy and happy laugh, often at himself, which showed in his eyes.  Most of all he had a very heartfelt love for all of his family and would tell us all each and every time we would talk.  We will miss terribly, his ending words which he would always say: "I love you".

Steven is survived by his five sisters, Virginia French Belanger of New York City,  Elizabeth F. Camp of Austin, TX, Karen French-Minnich and her husband Darryl of Bernville, PA, Teresa Marie Junco of Corinth, NY, and Catherine French-Current and her husband Norm of Saratoga Springs; nieces and nephews, Melissa Post of Saratoga Springs, Sarah Marks of Exeter, PA, Noah Camp of Austin, TX and Saphra Mikal of Chicago, IL.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert H. French in 1975, father, Roy French in 1993, and mother, Eileen French in 2003.
