Saratoga Springs, NY - Steven James Mitchell passed away August 29, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital. He was 67. Born August 9, 1945 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he lived his life defined by his love for his family and friends, especially his grandkids. Steve loved to live and experience life. He was always learning and always willing to help. Ever the joker, he was also a listener and connected with all whom crossed his path. His passion for living in the moment often left many people waiting, yet always happy to see him. Steven was a retired Sergeant with the New York State Police and a military veteran. He loved kayaking, snowshoeing, traveling, good "fud," and good company. "Steven Ann" was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Ann Mitchell, and is dearly missed by many, including his daughters, Jennifer Ann and Kathleen Ann, as well as his cherished grandboys, Rael, Connor, Gavin, Ruben Sharon, and E. Soren, nieces, Kathleen Arnold, Kathleen Bates Chungo and Michelle Dunn, and nephew, Christopher Dunn. Graveside services will be held 10:30am Saturday, September 1, 2012 at North Milton Cemetery, Rte. 29, Milton.
