Wilton, NY- Suzann E. Carrigan passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 24 th , 2022.
Born September 19, 1941 in Ayer, MA, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Bertha McMahon Fisher. Sue graduated from Hahnemann Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester, MA as a Registered Nurse and last worked at the Albany County Nursing Home. She had a passion for crafts, including sewing, quilting, rug hooking, and most recently was active in the Saratoga rug hooking group known as the "Loopy Ladies".
Sue is survived by her husband of 59 years, James F. Carrigan, and her four children and their spouses, James and Julie Carrigan (Niskayuna, NY), Peter and Jennifer Carrigan (Leesburg, VA), Melissa and Lee Blum (Denville, NJ) and Denise and Jim Nelligan (Saratoga Springs, NY). Sue was "Grammie" to her 11 grandchildren, Daniel and Liza Carrigan (Niskayuna, NY), Jillian and Nelson Sanchez, Elizabeth and Alysa Carrigan (Leesburg, VA), Emily, Jonathan, Patrick Blum (Denville, NJ), Allison, Megan and Michael May (Saratoga Springs, NY).
Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Thursday Dec. 1 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd.
Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373).
