Saratoga Springs, NY - Thelma Cecile Tallman, 92, of Saratoga Springs passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Ellis Hospital. She was born in Cohoes on December 3, 1917. After graduating from Cohoes High School in 1937 she attended and graduated from Mildred Ellie Business School and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was an elegant woman who had a love for horses and was involved with the American Carriage Society. As well as riding around the trails surrounding her home. Matriarch to our family, the memories of Thelma will be held in the hearts of many as a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is the beloved wife of 62 years to Hilton A. Tallman. She is the devoted mother of Barbara (VanGalder)-Miller-Ladue (James) of Saratoga, Hilton L. Tallman (Joan) of Saratoga, Harvey A. Tallman (Nicki) of Saratoga and Nancy English (Tallman), (Daniel Conway) of Clifton Park. Also a devoted grandmother to Stacy Miller-Smith (Wayne), Robert Miller (Jill), Jennifer Jenks-Paquin (Edward), Kristen Schofield (Darren Nelson), Chad Tallman (Heather Bohm), Matthew Tallman (Angelina), Julie Tallman-Avery (Michael) Tracey and Luke Tallman. And the apples of her eye, her beautiful eight great-grandchildren. Thelma is the cherished sister of Doris Morris from Iowa and sister-in-law of Arthur Hartshorn of Troy. She was predeceased by her first husband Richard M. VanGalder.
