Theodore Francis Kovaleski

January 18, 1953 - July 1, 2026

It is with heavy hearts to say goodbye to our beloved Teddy, who passed away after a long illness. Teddy was loved and cherished by many people that crossed his path.

Teddy grew up in NYC his entire life. He attended New York University, graduated, and became an athletic director at one of the best schools in NYC until he fell ill. The school honored Teddy in many ways when he had to say goodbye.

Teddy worked for Birch Wathen Lenox for many years. He loved sports and ran the NYC Marathon for many years. He was a big Yankee fan along with the NY Giants. Teddy loved spending his summers in Hampton Bays with family and friends.

Teddy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Karen Kovaleski; his son Brandon (Jaclyn) and baby Charlie, who he adored and who brought much happiness in his final days; his son Christopher (Olivia); his sister Stephanie (Peter); nieces Shannon (Chris) and Courtny (Anthony); his sister-in-law Christina (Jim); his niece Ryleigh (Osvaldo); and is joined in Heaven by his late nephew Shane Robert.

Teddy had many friends and colleagues throughout his life. He will be remembered by the love of his life, Karen, and their children, along with many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for Teddy will be held on July 28, 2026.
